We are a Christian community service organization that has served in Northeast TN for more than 30 years. We strive to make neighborhoods more connected, homes more livable, and community members healthier by providing services and supports to those who need them most. We offer people a place to call home, connect with others, and deepen their relationship with God.

Mission: To build a cooperative effort among area churches, agencies, and businesses to identify and meet community needs through public support; serving those in need with the love of Jesus.

Volunteer Opportunities

Nutrition & Food Programs

Volunteer in our Rogersville food pantry or help prepare and deliver home-cooked meals to older persons. We operate a summer youth feeding program and this is a great opportunity to get the whole family involved. During the holidays, we pack and distribute Christmas and Thanksgiving food boxes. So if you're looking for fun activities in the winter, we have you covered.

Thrift Store

We're always looking for folks to help sort, tag, and display the merch in the Shepherd's Center Thrift Store and Shepherd's Boutique. If you like to meet and greet customers, we can put you on the front lines operating a cash register or simply smiling at customers when they enter our stores.

Home Repair Program

The summer is a busy time of the year for us and we are always looking for groups to take on a home repair project in the community. This is an excellent way for you to give back to the community and someone in need.

Office/Clerical

Maybe you like to be in the background. If so, we have the place for you! We're always looking for folks willing to answer the phone or help stuff envelopes when we send out thank you letters.

What We Do

Hunger & Food Insecurity

Emergency Food Pantries. We operate food pantries in Church Hill, Rogersville, and Sneedville.

Nutrition Programs. We provide home-delivered meals to older adults 5 days a week. Through the Lunch Box Mobile Summer Food Program, we provide fun and nutritious lunches to children in Hawkins County during the summer.

Holiday food box distribution. We distribute Thanksgiving and Christmas food boxes to low-income households.

Health & Well-being

Church Hill Medical Mission. The clinic brings hope and health through the delivery of medical services to under-served individuals in our communities as an expression of Christ's love.

The Mission. Provides tailored, community-based programs, with a focus on helping those battling addictions and ladies facing unplanned or unsupported pregnancies.

Basic Needs

Home repair program. Local mission teams partner with us to provide home repairs for low-income households.

Heaven's Bell Diaper Pantry. Provides diapers and educational resources free of charge to parents/legal guardians who demonstrate financial need.

Christmas for the Children Program. We bring Christmas joy to 1,300 children.

Thrift stores. We operate three thrift stores as part of our mission to help others in need by reselling donated clothing and other items to support our programs.

Global missions. We support home grown efforts in six nations.
