Mooresburg Community Association (MCA)

MCA is a non-profit organization which provides much needed services to older and disabled adults in Hawkins County enabling them to live as independently as possible, for as long as possible and avoid unnecessary moves to long-term care facilities. MCA provides home-delivered meals to older and disabled adults and food delivery for trailer/mobile park residents who are at high risk of food insecurity. MCA is committed to identifying and serving low-income residents who live on the fringes with limited access to resources.

Mission: MCA works to eradicate food insecurity and social isolation and ensure the health of community members.

Volunteer Opportunities

Meals on Wheels Delivery Drivers

The Meals in Hills Program provides home delivered meals, five days a week (and weekends if needed), to older adults and adults with disabilities. Drivers are needed for weekly routes or to fill in when needed.

Medical Transportation Drivers

We're always looking for folks to help transport Mooresburg residents to and from their medical appointments. Let's help our neighbors in need.

Prepare Food Pantry Bags

If you are looking for a way to give back to the community, look no further. Join us at our center and help prepare food pantry bags. This is a fun activity for youth groups and families.

Volunteers for Thrift Store

Maybe you like to be in the background. If so, we have the place for you! We're always looking for folks willing to answer the phone or help stuff envelopes when we send out thank you letters.

What We Do

Home delivered meals to older and disabled adults through its “Meals in the Hills” program, food pantry outreach, food delivery to trailer/mobile parks and roadside pantries.

Assistance applying for financial support programs such as SNAP and LIHEAP and operate a Friends and Family Thrift Store.

Lunch and recreational/ educational activities at our facility.
