CASA For Kids, Inc.
CASA for Kids, Inc. is a non profit organization that advocates for at risk children who come to the attention of the Juvenile Courts.
Mission: To promote and support professionally trained Court Appointed Special Advocates for abused and neglected children in need of safety, stability, and permanency brought to the attention of the Juvenile Courts giving them the opportunity to thrive.
CASA volunteers must be 21 years of age, undergo background checks and complete 35 to 40 hours of training. Upon successfully completing training, volunteers are sworn in by the juvenile judge. Volunteer's time is flexible when working a case. Volunteers are supervised by CASA staff and continued in-service training is provided.
What We Do
Professionally trained and supervised community volunteers advocating for the best interest of abused and neglected children.
This is accomplished by investigating the child's environment, facilitating services, and monitoring the stability of the child.
Additional CASA volunteers are needed to continue to meet the need of the increasing number of at-risk children coming to the attention of the court.
